\nAEROSIL\u00ae 200<\/strong> is an extremely fine and lightweight fumed silica powder used to thicken epoxy, polyester and other compatible resins<\/strong>.\n<\/p>\n

\nIt is ideal when resin is too runny and needs to stay in place. Add a small amount to make resin thicker, reduce dripping and create anything from a slightly thicker mix to a non-sag adhesive or repair paste<\/strong>.\n<\/p>\n

    How to use<\/h3>\n

    \nAdd AEROSIL\u00ae gradually while mixing. Start with a small amount and increase until the required consistency is reached. Even a small change in quantity can significantly change how thick the resin becomes.\n<\/p>\n

    \nFor epoxy systems, it is usually convenient to mix AEROSIL\u00ae into the resin before adding the hardener. Always keep the original resin-to-hardener ratio specified by the resin manufacturer.\n<\/p>\n

    \nImportant:<\/strong> There is no universal dosage. Different resin systems react differently, so always make a small test batch first.\n<\/p>\n

    Typical applications<\/h3>\n

    \nEpoxy fillets:<\/strong> Turn runny laminating epoxy into a paste that stays in a corner.\n<\/p>\n

    \nVertical repairs:<\/strong> Reduce resin running down walls, edges or composite parts.\n<\/p>\n

    \nBonding:<\/strong> Create a thicker, more gap-filling adhesive consistency.\n<\/p>\n

    \nStone carpet:<\/strong> Thicken the resin binder for steps, edges, risers and other areas where normal resin may drain away.\n<\/p>\n

      \nPlease note:<\/strong> AEROSIL\u00ae changes the consistency of the resin. It does not by itself make a resin UV-resistant, waterproof, stronger or suitable for outdoor use. These properties depend on the resin system being used.\n<\/p>\n
