Kevlar is a man-made organic fiber with high strength, light weight, flexibility, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and very high temperature resistance (> 400 ° C). It is five times stronger than steel per unit weight.
The hybrid fabric combines the excellent properties of both Kevlar and carbon fibers, where Kevlar gives the fabric high elasticity, tensile and abrasion resistance and high carbon hardness. Hybrid fabric is most widely used in the production of rally parts, military equipment, sports equipment, canoes and kayaks.
Hybrid fabrics are most commonly used with epoxy, vinyl ester and urethane acrylate resins in vacuum technology or by lamination by hand.
