Sea-Line® S05 is a high cutting power, single-stage polishing paste designed for professional manufacturers, shipyards and products with a gelcoat outer layer or a high hardness industrial coating such as epoxy or polyurethane. Sea-Line® S05 guarantees fast removal of defects and sanding scratches after treatment with sandpaper graded from P800 upwards. Using Sea-Line® S05 paste, it is possible to reduce the working time thanks to the high cutting force, while obtaining a consistent surface gloss without the need to use other polishing pastes. Sea-Line® S05 paste is designed for use on polishing machines with a maximum rotation speed of 2000. S05 is best used with wool rovings and hard sponges.
Polishing:
- Clean the surface to be polished.
- If you need to remove defects, sand the surface with sandpaper with the following gradation:
- Final polishing: <P1200
- Final polishing (dark colours): <P1500
- Clean the surface again.
- Apply the polishing paste to the fleece or hard foam roll.
- Apply the polishing paste at minimum speed to the entire surface to be polished (800-1000 rpm), polishing until the colour changes and the polishing paste changes texture.
- Slowly increase the speed to a maximum of 1800 rpm at low pressure.
- Polish until all defects are removed and a full gloss is achieved.
- If necessary, repeat the polishing process.
Further steps:
After changing the applicator to a head made of 100% lambswool (MM
Sea-Line BRAYT) or a soft sponge, polish the surface for obtaining
higher gloss.
To improve the gloss level, it is recommended to use:
- Sea-Line® S2 FINISHING COMPOUND
To protect the surface, it is recommended to use:
- Sea-Line® S5 QUICK WAX
- Sea-Line® S4 PROTECT WAX
