Sea-Line® S1 is a highly effective silicone-free polishing paste. Recommended for polishing boats, gelcoat surfaces, composite materials and topcoats. Sea-Line® S1 quickly removes sanding defects as well as other operational damage, guaranteeing a perfect surface. It contains high quality polishing minerals for fast blemish removal and high gloss in a one-step process. It is a versatile product, suitable for all types of gelcoat, PE and PU varnishes in the furniture industry and composite products. Thanks to the optimal formulation, the product does not cause excessive surface heating, while ensuring easy cleaning. Working with Sea-Line® S1 saves you time.
Surface preparation:
- Wash the work surface.
- Sanding with sandpaper:
- General grinding: P320-P800
- Final sanding: P1200-P1500 (P1500-P2000 for dark colours).
- Clean off the dust and degrease again.
- Clean the work surface of other contaminants with clean water.
Polishing:
- Apply the paste to the surface to be treated (use: lambswool / hard sponge / medium sponge).
- Spread the paste on the surface with the machine at minimum speed (800 to 1000 rpm).
- Polish the surface with medium pressure.
- Slowly increase the speed (1200-1500) until the surface is polished and the scratches are removed.
- Increase the speed (max 2000) and polish to achieve a perfectly shiny surface.
Further steps:
After changing the applicator to a head made of 100% lambswool (MM
Sea-Line BRAYT) or a soft sponge, polish the surface for obtaining
higher gloss.
To improve the gloss level, it is recommended to use:
- Sea-Line® S2 FINISHING COMPOUND
To protect the surface, it is recommended to use:
- Sea-Line® S5 QUICK WAX
- Sea-Line® S4 PROTECT WAX
